Mandala Project 2007
The Mandala Series Projects have been extremely gratifying to work on...creating such work is a learning process for me...learning about the mediums I work with, learning about myself...the whole idea of creating these different forms of mandalas is to release the creative process from any underlying notion of purpose, and to proceed with no specific goal in mind...basically freeing the mind so that the art can in a sense create itself! To continue this mandala journey, this phase incorporates some of the aspects of each of the 3 Mandala Projects that I've completed so far (the first project was the holiday books from December 2004, which featured 150 black and white daily Mandalas done over the course of 2004...the second being the monthly Mandala series from 2005, and the third being the MandalaTotem Series from Fall 2005). ~~These will be done in colored pencil on Black Board. I liked the size of the 2005 Mandalas and really loved working in pencil on black as with the Totems. ~~There will be only one original Mandala done per day... Thank you so much for all of the support and kind words over the course of these Mandala Projects...It truly means a lot to me that these have brought so much joy to so many homes...I hope you will enjoy watching these develop.
